AMANDA & GRANT

Newport Bay, CA

Holding the world’s first hydro-jetpack wedding was admittedly one of the more adrenaline-inducing decisions Amanda and Grant made as a couple, but their courtship on the slopes of Tahoe was almost as thrilling. This couple wanted a ceremony that told the story of their becoming adults together as they fell in love.

An excerpt from their custom written wedding ceremony that was officiated by Alicia in Newport Bay, California on August 23, 2012:

Look. Any relationship that starts as a friendship, where each friend supports and cares for the other person through the likes of job interviews and batting practice, is a relationship worth holding on to. Any relationship that can withstand a first date faux pas of one party politely declining the date invitation – an invitation which involved homemade sandwiches no less – is a relationship worth pursuing. And any relationship that helps the two people involved transition from Never Never Land to an elated state of adulthood is a relationship worth signing and sealing with vows and a kiss. Amanda and Grant caught fire, and have only begun to burn with the brightness meant for them as a couple.
