An excerpt from their custom-written wedding ceremony that was officiated by Alicia in San Francisco California on October 15, 2011:
Being all in is quite an act of faith in a relationship, but when you find the right person, it’s well worth the effort. Why? Love changes everything. Remember in The Wizard of Oz when Dorothy makes it over the rainbow, and her life goes from being in black and white to being in color? She had entered a new world, one in which she was seeing and feeling for the first time. Experiences that were impossible before were now popping out of the yellow brick road. That’s what love is, what it does. It changes not only how you see the world, but how you experience the world. It opens your eyes to the beauty that surrounds. Rafael and Les entered this new world together, and with that almost epiphany-like moment, saw the world as it should be: in color.
